Job Information
The Director, Web Analytics will be responsible for managing online analytics functions associated with the Information and Media segment's Digital transformation. This individual will serve as a liaison to six business units in order to support web measurement activities, including e-Commerce, Visitor Engagement, and Online Marketing analytics across the segment.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with six business units to gain agreement in web analytics metrics and reporting standards.
- Provide analytical leadership and vision to the Digital transformation program and support the rollout of Digital transformation projects from a reporting perspective.
- Establish systems and processes for the tracking, measuring, reporting, and analyzing marketing programs and web sites.
- Analyze traffic and user behavior and translate findings into actionable insights and business intelligence.
- Support a community of web analysts with training, documentation and standards.
- Define META tags to meet data collection requirements. Actively work with 3rd party vendors and McGraw-Hill Technology team and provide leadership in META tag deployment, including requirement communication, deployment status tracking and quality assurance. Construct and deploy new web analytics reports and dashboards.
- Prepare and distribute segment dashboards. Respond to reporting and analytical requests.

Job Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience analyzing and reporting on web sites and on-line campaigns.
- Bachelors degree is required.
- Strong knowledge of web analytics applications, such as WebTrends, Omniture, Google Analytics, or Core Metrics. WebTrends preferred.
- Analytical and problem solving skills are a must. Must be proactive, detail oriented and have strong time and project management, written and oral communication skills.
- Familiarity with business intelligence applications such as Business Objects and relational databases/SQL a plus.
- Prior experience working for a large corporation.
- The ability, diplomacy, and finesse to create and manage change and demonstrate "added value" in all efforts within Information & Media and across the enterprise.
